At DMS Montessori Preschool and Daycare Inc, your child will learn through individualized programs based on age and according to their personal development.  Areas of focus for the pre-CASA program include fostering independence and co-operation, confidence and self-esteem, attentiveness, learning through exploration, use of pre-Casa level Montessori activities, to name just a few.  Academic areas for the Casa program include circle time, music and movement, grace and courtesy, as well as avenues of practical life, sensorial, culture, math and language.  French is also included in the curriculum. Your child will gain relevant information and knowledge about their environment and our World.  Parents are often shocked that their child is able to learn so much and know about so much at their age!

DMS Montessori Preschool and Daycare Inc. is classified as a childcare/daycare facility according to the Ministry of Education and the CCEYA due to servicing children under the age of 6 years old.  We are a licensed facility that follows all of the Government of Ontario rules pertaining to operating a daycare center.  DMS Montessori we specialize in teaching the Montessori method of education and we live the philosophy each and every day.  Childcare is an essential service in our community.  What sets us apart in early childhood education from being classified as a 'private school' (no matter what a facility teaches within the walls; Montessori programming, being a French immersion daycare, or play-based center, etc.) is that we do not service children who are school-aged.  Montessori private school, however, is a private school system outside of the mainstream public education system and they service school-aged students in their programming.  If you want your child to continue in Montessori programming throughout their school-aged years that follow preschool, (choosing to send your child to a private Montessori school environment instead of going to the public school board system), please notify us upon enrollment, so that we can best guide your child in the final preparation period before leaving preschool at our childcare center.
