Oh me oh my!  Can you believe that we ended the calendar year already?  We will soon be ringing in the new year and boy, things are getting exciting in the DMS Montessori Preschool and Daycare Community! 

Programming was wonderful this past month as the children thoroughly enjoyed the holiday cheer with all music and movement activities in December focusing on performing in their holiday concert!  The children performed virtually for their parents and the 45 minute concert was a hit!  Parents enjoyed watching them perform songs and dance to holiday music while showcasing their talent and some of what they've learned so far this school year!  We baked cookies together (Montessori practical life), we went caroling in the neighborhood, and Santa visited our school!

From fun practical life holiday themed activities and crafts, to lots of fun in the snow, we always enjoy our time together at DMS Montessori!

On the expansion front, we were able to complete a lot of work at the new location in December!  The holidays certainly impacted our opening target of January 3 and caused further delays.  BUT, things always go as they are supposed to in life - Mrs. Dina believes that!  And so we continue to think positively about the trades coming back from vacation rested and that their delayed orders come in sooner than later!  The impact from COVID is felt across the board from the soaring cost of supplies to trades getting sick with COVID, to the incredible delays in receiving ordered and special ordered childcare related and trades related materials.  It has been a learning process to say the least!  I am a patient person, but I am facing a fully enrolled opening so the last thing I want is to disappoint my families and staff with yet another delay.
