A Story Begins
After completing her Montessori Teacher Education program and obtaining her internationally recognized MACTE-accredited diploma, Dina began her journey working in a Montessori school classroom as an educator. It was through this hands-on experience that she fully discovered her true passion for early childhood education and the profound impact of authentic Montessori learning on a child’s development.
Building on her extensive background in business and leadership, Dina made the intentional decision to combine her professional expertise with her lifelong passion for working with young children. This vision led her to take a bold step forward — creating her own Montessori school grounded in authenticity, excellence, and a deep commitment to the child.
As a dedicated mother of three, this path also allowed Dina to align her personal and professional life in a meaningful way, remaining closely connected to her own children while building a learning environment that reflects her values as both an educator and a parent. What began as a single-child program has since grown, through her vision and determination, into the thriving Montessori school community that DMS Montessori is today.
From the ground up, Dina has been actively involved in every stage of development — from programming and classroom design to teacher mentorship, family relationships, and daily school operations. Her leadership is hands-on, intentional, and deeply rooted in authenticity.
Above all, Dina’s unwavering passion for children and commitment to their growth is at the heart of everything DMS Montessori represents. Her dedication to families is not just professional — it is personal, consistent, and present every day within the school community.
What's in a Name?
"From the Founder"
The Meaning Behind DMS Montessori
When naming the school, my daughter once said to me, “Mommy, you should call your school Dina’s Montessori School!” While the idea was heartfelt and fitting—especially as DMS reflects my initials—I chose DMS Montessori for reasons that carry deeper meaning and intention.
Each letter represents a core value that shapes the foundation of our school:
D – Daily Dedication
The “D” represents my daily dedication to every child and family we serve. Each day matters. I am committed to ensuring that your child is safe, supported, engaged, and developing to their fullest potential. Every child is seen as a precious gift, and it is my responsibility and privilege to help guide their growth across all areas of development. This is my promise to every family at DMS Montessori.
M – Montessori Commitment
The “M” reflects my profound connection to the Montessori philosophy of education. I believe wholeheartedly in this scientifically grounded approach to early childhood learning. From the moment I first studied Montessori education, I recognized its alignment with my own values and vision for children.
After completing my MACTE-accredited Montessori training and working as a lead teacher in a Montessori school, I became fully convinced that this was my life’s work. I am deeply honoured to share this journey with families and to witness children grow, thrive, and flourish through this transformative educational approach during the most formative years of their lives.
S – Synoptic Understanding
The “S” represents synoptic, meaning the ability to see and understand things as a whole — a unified, meaningful picture. It reflects the idea that wisdom emerges from connecting experiences, knowledge, and understanding into a cohesive whole.
This concept mirrors the Montessori journey itself. At first, the Montessori approach may seem layered or complex, but over time, everything comes together in a powerful and beautiful way. As children grow within the program, families begin to witness these connections unfold — in their independence, their confidence, their manners, their empathy, and their academic readiness.
It is in these moments that parents often say, “That is a Montessori child.”
Living the Montessori Philosophy
To be an effective Montessori educator, one must not only understand the method but truly live it. My introduction to Montessori education quickly evolved into a deep conviction during my teacher training, where I gained a profound understanding of its structure, purpose, and philosophy.
Great Montessori teaching requires more than knowledge — it requires passion, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to the child. It is this combination that allows educators to guide children effectively and meaningfully. The quality of a Montessori teacher directly shapes the quality of a child’s educational experience, and this is something I hold to the highest standard.
Educating the Whole Child
Montessori education is rooted in the belief of educating the whole child. The early years, particularly ages 0–6, are the most critical period in a child’s development. During this time, children form the foundation for lifelong learning, character development, emotional regulation, social skills, and cognitive growth.
Through consistent guidance, positive modelling, and hands-on learning experiences, children develop essential life skills such as independence, cooperation, communication, patience, respect, and kindness. They also gain a deeper understanding of the world around them — both on a personal and global level.
These early experiences are powerful and lasting. They shape not only how a child learns, but who they become.
